DescriptionHave 40 high density, high tech industrial buildings in your city! NotesThis is probably the hardest achievement of the game because of the very small city size. Forty high desity high tech industrial buildings will take up nearly 100% of the available real estate area available. - Claim a completely flat city (zero hills and zero water) as you will need the entire area for the industrial buildings.
- Gift the city with a large treasury and lower the tax rate to 0%. Sims won't abandon buildings or complain as much if they don't have to pay taxes.
- Use only high density roads.
- Avoid avenues as they take too much space.
- A grid-based city layout to maximize usable space is a must! The grid also makes it much easier to count the buildings.
- High desity high tech industrial buildings are rectangular. (1 tall tree row wide x 2 tall tree rows long)
- Make your road grid exactly fit a single building.
- The zones will slowly increase in density as your city grows.
- Education will slowly increase the tech level of your buildings.
- Universities, high wealth parks, and Dr. Vu buildings all increase tech levels of nearby buildings.
- Use the land value overlay to ensure the entire city is blanketed in the darkest green (highest land value.) Add plenty of high wealth parks where needed.
- As soon as a high density industrial building finishes construction, dezone the block so that the building does not change.
- Once an area is dezoned and locked full of high tech buildings, you can buldoze any nearby parks to reclaim the land for more industry.
- Purchase as many services from other cities as you can. For example, I purchased electricity from a neighboring city with a large fusion power plant.
You won't have any room for residential zones at all, so do one or more of the following: - Use a city connected to an Arcology Great Work. Your population will consist mostly of visiting sims from the Arcology.
- Make sure you have plenty of municipal buses and a train depot for sims to commute to your city.
- Claim a connecting city in the region and load it up with extra residential zones.
Use a grid layout to make it easy to count your buildings. An arcology will supply all the workers you need, so you won't need to zone residential.
